NESTLED along the shoreline of Sydney Harbour is Australia’s most exclusive street.

With the median property value at $7.75 million, Wolseley Road in Point Piper is home to some of the most prestigious properties in the country.

A square metre on Wolseley Road could fetch $40,000.

Here, even with Sydney’s escalating property prices, houses here are regularly listed for $30 million-plus.

Wolseley Road accounted for almost half of Sydney’s eastern suburbs top 10 sales in 2014. The most expensive one was 63-67 Wolseley Road which fetched a handsome $39 million.

But prestige and exclusivity don’t stop neighbourly squabbles — it’s just that disagreements tend to involve less pranks and more lawsuits.

A long-running feud between businessman Anthony Sahade (of Crystal Car Wash fame) and his neighbours Carina Glister and Eckhart Bischoff has been in and out of the courts since 2005.

It’s resulted in assault allegations, bad behaviour and apprehended violence orders.

The dispute is over a shared access driveway between Mr Sahade’s mansion and the apartments of the other two parties.

Over the years, Mr Sahade and his family have been accused of aggressive behaviour, assault, loud music and carrying out building work without the owners corporation’s permission.

In the latest court ruling this year, the Civil and Administrative Tribunal senior member Richard Buckley said: “The conduct of the Sahades, specifically Mr Anthony Sahade, has since about May 2005 … been characterised by a lack of civility, arrogance, threatening behaviour and a disdain for the rights of other lot owners.”

Police have previously been called to the property to settle the disputes.

The street is also home to other elites including Westfield boss Frank Lowy, designer Charlie Brown and her husband Danny Avidan while former residents have included Lachlan Murdoch (co-chair of News Corp, publisher of news.com.au), recruitment queen Julia Ross and disgraced businessman Ron Medich.

The houses come with landscaped gardens, sparkling pools, tennis courts, countless bathrooms and that multi-million dollar view.

Point Piper itself is Australia’s most expensive suburb, and it’s closely guarded with less than 10 streets boasting the address. It’s replete with multi-storey homes for the well-heeled.

Two years ago, a Wolseley Road five-bedroom three-level European-style villa was on the market for $56.2 million.

LJ Hooker Double Bay’s Bill Malouf had previously told The Daily Telegraph: “It’s considered the number one spot in Australia for property. There is a mystique, people aspire their whole lives to be there and when they get there, they don’t move except for extraordinary circumstances.
