Additionally, he also went on to win the 2011 and 2012 Canadian Amateur Championship and was also a member of Team Canada's National Squad in 2008, 2011, and 2012.
After a much more successful amateur career, Mackenzie turned professional in the year 2012 and started out by participating in the eGolf Professional Tour and PGA Tour Canada.
