EDM superstar NGHTMRE, aka Tyler Marenyi, first encountered the art of Atlanta-based artist, Greg Mike, at Atlanta’s Counterpoint Music Festival in 2012. NGHTMRE liked Greg’s artwork – a lot.

Greg Mike’s art features intense bursts of incandescent color passed through the perspective of Surrealist Pop Art. He’s painted murals in Atlanta, Miami, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Las Vegas, and the Swiss Alps, among others, and is the founder and creative director of ABV AGENCY + GALLERY, a studio specializing in graphic design, street art, mural installations, and art direction.

As time passed, NGHTMRE kept tabs on Greg’s art, keeping up with what he was doing. In due course, they became friends and, recently, collaborators, hooking up to create animated digital art displayed at an auction-style exhibition via Nifty Gateway.

According to NGHTMRE, “I’ve really loved Greg mike’s work for so long it’s amazing to be able to collaborate on something as unique as this. I’ve always loved the idea of audio/visual collaborations and this is my first opportunity to be able to do it!”

The four pieces carried the following titles: “GUD MORNING,” “HIGH NOON,” “NIGHT MODE,” AND “FUTURE FORECAST.” Each piece reflects the creative energies artists experience during a single day. All four pieces sold immediately.

Renowned internationally for his heady, galvanizing music, NGHTMRE began his career crafting trap/house remixes of artists such as Tiësto, Rae Sremmurd, and Skrillex, followed by producing his own songs, along with collaborating with other big-name producers. A short while later, he signed with Mad Decent, the record label of Diplo, followed by dropping his first song, “Street.”

Since then, NGHTMRE has collaborated with mega-stars like Wiz Khalifa, ZHU, Lil Jon, Shaq, A$AP Ferg, Dillon Francis, The Chainsmokers, and SLANDER, while his dynamic music led to the mainstage at Tomorrowland, World DJ Fest, EDC Las Vegas, Billboard Hot 100 Fest, Lollapalooza, Electric Zoo, Mysteryland, Creamfields Amnesia Ibiza, Space Ibiza, Cream Ibiza, Shambhala, Middlelands, Coachella, Zouk, Ultra Music Festival, and Holy Ship!
