Recap of The Previous Chapter

Ijin accompanied Sophia and her brother, along with a team of bodyguards, on their tour of Korea in the previous chapter. Sophia is clearly nervous around Ijin, but he keeps missing her cues. Sophia even gives Ijin cotton candy, but he is completely unaware of what is going on. Yuna informs Ijin at the headquarters that President Boray personally thanked him for his service. Ijin, who is completely unaware of his role in the day’s success, praises the efforts of Boray’s security team and guide. Yuna tells him that, while receiving a personal call from President was suspicious, Sophia was undeniably more relaxed than she is normally. Sophia’s constant state of anxiety is nearly never elevated after the trauma of kidnapping, except today, when she had fun for a change.

The next day, Sophia’s brother approaches Ijin and asks him to be more friendly to Sophia. He also tells him that after Sophia was kidnapped, she refused to make friends and seemed to want to be alone. As a result, her interest in Ijin is unique, and he needs to be less professional and more relaxed for Sophia. Sophia inquires about Ijin’s family as she, her brother, and the security team travel in cars together. He tells her about his younger sister and grandfather. Suddenly, a suspicious vehicle comes to a complete stop in front of everyone’s car. One of the bodyguards pulls out a gun and shoots everyone in another car.
