Christmas day has just rolled by and things are looking mighty fine for girl group Little Mix as they round up the year with a third consecutive platinum album.

Their first two albums DNA and Salute have already been certified platinum by the BPI and Get Weird’s official platinum certification will be coming in next week!

With worldwide sales of 400,000 copies and a seventh consecutive week in the top 10 of the U.K. album charts, its expected that the girls’ sales will reach the 500K line soon! In addition, weekly sales have officially come in and Get Weird sold approximately 70,500 copies!

Even the album singles received a boost, with ‘Love Me Like You’ and ‘Black Magic’ rebounding on the official singles charts to #20 and #62 respectively.

Both songs are expected to rise again next week due to the “after week christmas gifting effect.”

The album is also expected to go double platinum due to strong physical sales next year. But with both versions of Get Weird currently in the top 20 of the U.K. iTunes chart, the next certification might come earlier than expected.

Sales in the first quarter of each year are usually low but since gifting is still common at this point in the year, it won’t necessarily stop the album from selling digitally and especially not physically.

If you haven’t already, make sure you cop Little Mix’s Get Weird album in stores and on iTunes today!
